This unique pendant is hand-crafted in fine silver, cast directly from a Cornish cockle shell. Its natural form captures the delicate ridges and character of the shell, creating a piece that feels both beautifully organic and full of meaning.
But there is a secret hidden inside… On the inside of the pendant is a tiny engraved humpback whale with a cabochon of abalone shell set behind it. The abalone shell, chosen for its shimmering colours and ever-changing blue, green and violet tones that beautifully echo the colours of the sea.
The pendant hangs from a sterling silver satellite chain, whose delicate little stations add extra sparkle and character compared with a traditional plain chain.
This necklace was inspired by my love for my Cornish childhood home, and the sense of wonder I felt watching humpback whales in the waters off New York.
